To start is always so much easier than to finish ! What the Church of the 21st Century needs is good old-fashioned perseverance! Think of that marathon runner...he continues at a steady pace gaining mile after mile/ kilometre after kilometre. he knows that the end will come eventually, so he remains focussed on achieving his objective...to finish that race and, if possible, to win ! We dont all have to get to the nearest athletics track ! but the lesson is clesr...Jesus is seeking those who are in for the 'long haul'...are we they???
