Word for the Week...DEC 26 --- JAN 1/ 2006

"How much more then shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your consience from dead works to serve the living God."

The Doctrine of the Trinity is an essential part of the Christian faith. It has often been misunderstood and misrepresented, to the detriment of proponents and recipients alike. The Christian believes that God Is, Was and always Will Be, Present in Three Divine Persons; namely Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In the gospel of John 16:15 we read..."All things that the Father hath are Mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine and shall show it unto you." This is Jesus speaking about the Holy Spirit. The Christain accepts that God is [1]Omniscient...all knowing. [2] Omnipresent...everywhere.[3] Omnipotent...All- Powerful. This must apply to all Three Persons. How is this possible since Jesus is in Heaven?... By The Holy Spirit... what is impossible with man is possible with God.! The Father is The Divine Originator, The Sin is The Divine Activator and The Holy Spirit is The Divine Communicator of all that God Has and all that God Is. As we come into a fuller understanding of these things, our only appropriate response is that of worship; the one thing that will remain, after all our deeds have been forgotten. May The Lord Bless you in the year ahead, as you dig deeper into His Word.
