"But Ruth said:'Entreat me not to leave you,or to turn back from following after you.;for wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.' "
Determination, commitment and faithfulness...forgotten words in much of the Church today, relegated to the annals of history.Yet, Ruth epitomised these qualities and is honoured in the genealogy of Christ [Matt.1:5]. Being a Moabite, she had every right to go back to her people and gods, with her sister-in law Orpah. But Ruth gave up her rights !!! In order to receive the Destiny that The Lord has for us, we too may need to come to this point...where we forego that which Is lawfully ours, in order to pursue a higher calling, with better rewards.[Heb.11:26].
