Word for the Week...APRIL 9 ---15 / 2007

"And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry." [NKJV]

Paul had much to say to his 'son in the Faith', Timothy. It would appear that the most Important quality in Paul's opinion was ...faithfulness. What does that mean to us today ?especially those of us in 'the ministry'?...

[1] Firstly, to be faithful means to be reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. How much we need to be like Paul in these repects !

[2] Secondly, it means to be consistently obedient... in the small things, as well as in the big !

[3] Thirdly, it means to to be marked out as different by the world, because of a life lived as a result of the previously mentioned convictions.!

[4] Fourthly and finally, it means to have set a course from which there is no turning back, or deviation, straightforward and onward (as well as upward) to Glory ! Praise The Lord!

May The Lord Bless you.
