Word for the Month SEPTEMBER 2019

"When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices so that they might go to annoint Jesus' body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, 'Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?' " ]Mark 16:1,2 niv]

The first thing we see from this Gospel account is that these particular women , who were first at the tomb of Jesus, had completely missed the fact that Jesus was ALREADY ANNOINTED WITH SPICES BY MARY OF BETHANY....( see Mark 14:3ff )

Secondly, because of the aforementioned fact, their quest was in vain !...as Jesus had told His disciples and close followers that He would be crucfied, dead and buried...and rise again the third day ...on at least three separate occasions !!!

Thirdly, they failed to consider that the tomb had been Officially sealed by the Roman Governor Pilate.[Matt.27:65]...                           and three defenceless women were NO MATCH for the might of the Roman authorities !!!

Fourthly, and finally,...because these women seemed to live in 'the flesh' realm' and NOT in 'The Spirit' they exhibited NO FAITH in the Resurrection of Jesus!!!,  .....yet many had witnessed...

[1] the case of Lazarus,[John 11:]

[2] The widow of Nain's son raised from the dead, on his way to burial !

[3]  The Synagogue ruler's daughter [Matt>8:18ff]

The essential lesson we are to learn from the passage is that EVERY WORD OF GOD IS TRUE and will stand the 'Acid test' of time and circumstance....

Let us contine to be true disciples of Our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST by living, walking  and moving in The Power of The Holy Spirit........BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS ALWAYS GREATER THAN THE CIRCUMSTANTIAL FACTS .

The Lord Is Willing and able to move the stone for you...the stone of doubt, unbelief or fear must move when you simply cry out to HIM in faith.....remember...Forsaking All I Trust Him.

May The Lord Bless you.
